Biaxin is consumed for treating many diverse types of bacterial infections which affects the respiratory system and skin. It is also consumed together with other medications to treat stomach sores produced by Helicobacter pylori.

Uses of Biaxin (Clarithromycin)

Clarithromycin is consumed for the treatment of a wide diversity of bacterial infections. This medicine can also be consumed along with anti-ulcer medicines to treat some kinds of stomach ulcers. It might also be consumed for the prevention of certain bacterial infections. Clarithromycin is called a macrolide antibiotic. It functions by discontinuing the bacteria of growth.

This antibiotic treats just the bacterial infections. It will not be working for viral infections (for example common flu, cold). Unnecessary usage or misuse of any antibiotic can cause its effectiveness to be decreased.
