Empagliflozin is associated with the group of drugs known as sodium glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitor. Linagliptin befits with the group of drugs known as dipeptidyle peptidase 4 inhibitors.

It is used to treat the raised levels of blood sugar in the patients with type-2 diabetes along with healthy diet and exercise.
