Humira is the brand name of the class of drugs known as adalimumab. This medication is used for inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, crohn’s disease treatment, psoriatic arthritis, plaque psoriasis, ankylosing spondylitis and ulcerative colitis. This medication is a type of medication known as anti-TNF drug or tumor necrosis factor (TNF) blocker.

This medication is used to treat pain and swelling during certain inflammatory conditions, Humira medication is also used to treat assertive skin diseases and bowel conditions. TNF blockers help to dwindled the inflammation and slow the breakthrough of inflammation. By reducing joint swelling and pain the medication helps to reduce future joint complications and perpetuate the proper functions of joint. The medication is injected under the skin in thigh or abdomen as per the prescription of the doctor after examining the condition of the disease, once in a week in most of the cases but generally every other week.
