The medication Insulin Isophane under the brand name of Humulin N is used to overcome the increased levels of blood sugar in the patients of diabetes. It is man made insulin that has an ability to replace the insulin normally formed by the body.

Along with better and healthy diet and exercise the medication is taken to treat high blood sugar in the patients experiencing diabetes. By controlling the increased levels of blood sugar many of the future health complications can be overcome that includes blindness, kidney problems, sexual function problems, loss of limbs and nerve problems. It can also inhibit the growing risk of heart attack and stroke. It works slowly but last longer than the normal insulin produced by the body therefore it is known as Isophane (intermediate acting insulin).
