The dosage based on the prescription of the doctor or pharmacist after complete examination. Loperamide also reduce the amount of discharge in the people experiencing ileostomy. The medication is taken directly through mouth mostly after every stool or in accordance to the prescription.

The medication generally easily tolerated, it can cause fewer side effects in some of the cases. Many of the people remain away from the side effects and some have mild to severe side effects if ignored and remain undiagnosed.
